Default PC appraisal

i've been looking to sell my old computer that i've had since 2005.

Its pretty crap (was good when i got it)

I tried to upgrade the graphics, but the new card (8500gt)almost melted my mobo because my power supply+mobo arent good enough

I'm planning on selling it to help fund my new one, i need an appraisal

Specifications

HP Pavillion a1060a

Pentium 4 3.2ghz processor
1.5 gigs of ram (ddr2) 400mhz
x300 128mb Pci-Express (One pci-e slot three pci slots)
Onboard sound-Realtek ALC880 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC
lightscribe dvd-rom drive
288W power supply
PTGD1-LA (PufferM)Motherboard
pretty sure its Sata2 HDD
coolermaster fan on the mobo with a 12cm case fan
800mhz FSB

It's not so much as how much its worth but how much someone is willing to pay for it.

From my experience, people tend to dislike buying used computers because your never sure of what your getting. You can get a computer for so cheap now that its hard to sell one with experience.

I would try to publish in local free places and see what happens. You can always try to go to a used computer store and see how much you can get for it as a computer or as spare hardware.

You might want to hang onto your RAM for your new computer

Normally I would reccomend buying some new parts including a case to allow you to shine it up, then list it on either ebay or craigslist and wait for a solid offer. Ir you could go to a local computer store as zodiac said.

But I would go with around 400'ish

I guess i'll just have to find a fool in my area who will pay 550 bucks for it (shouldnt be hard)

My new rig is gonna cost 550 so i'd like it to be a seamless exchange
